Plate Vibration
The first four eigenmodes of a clamped steel plate, computed from the assembled shell stiffness and lumped mass matrices (LOBPCG on the generalized eigenproblem) and animated over one period each.
Modes come straight from the assembled operators — no modal post-fit — so
the film doubles as an assembly check: wrong stiffness or mass shows up as
a wrong shape or a wrong frequency. Regenerate with
just website-demos plate-modes.
Interactive 3D — not a film
The Structure Lab solves bracket vibration modes live: inspect the modal result in 3D, then flip the flat section to the 2D view. Drive it yourself: drag to orbit, Shift+drag / middle-drag / right-drag to pan, scroll to zoom, double-click to fit, click the surface to inspect a cell — then use Fullscreen 3D in the demo to fill the screen. Flat sheets stay in the undistorted 2D view; volumetric results open in the orbitable 3D scene. Requires WebGPU over HTTPS or localhost.
